The Lee County Arts Council and Micheal's Marvels have teamed up to bring our two events together. Young Artist Month along with Visiting Comic Writers and Artists. 

 

Saturday, March 11, 2017

Art teachers from the Lee County Schools will be presenting their student's artwork (Elementary - High School). We will be welcoming the students and their family 12pm-4pm with a reception at 2pm. (Their artwork will remain up in our hallway until March 23rd)

Michael's Marvels Comics just moved into the Steele Street Mall directly beside our office.  

 

Saturday, March 11, 2017, 11am-6pm

Michael's Marvels Comics will have several Comics writers and illustrators that will be set up in the hallway of Steele Street Mall and will be doing there thing for you to enjoy and/or purchase. 

 

Dan Johnson:

Works at Cemetery Plots - Empire Comics Lab, Charlton Neo and Freelance Writer Past: Charlton Neo Comics and Empire Comics Lab

 

William Boyer:

Part -part time comic book and strip artist and children's book illustrator.  Letterer, penciler, inker at Empire Comics Lab. Founder/writer/artist/minister at Gospelman Ministries.  Artist/Writer at The Misadventures of SuperMilo.  Freelancer at Freelance Artist.  Former Freelance Artist at "Andy the Pug" series children's books

 

Rodney Bennet:

Worked at Freelance Graphic Designed.  Former Art Instructor at Quality Education Academy Former Art Teacher at Randolph County School System.  Worked at Charlton Neo Comics

 

Al Bigley:

"Is an award-winning commercial and comics artist, having provided art for such firms as DC Comics, Marvel Comics, CTW, Disney, Saban, and so many more entertainment firms!  Al's art has been used in conjunction with such characters as Batman, Spider-Man, Power Rangers, Spiderman, Avengers, Sonic, Archie, and many more!  He's even designed our Union County Library superhero library cards!"
